Risk Disclosure

The following is a risk disclosure statement that "QMIS Investment Bank Limited" ("QMIS IB") provides to "Investors / Clients" ("Clients") to be aware of. Before making decision(s), Clients should carefully consider whether the services are suitable for their requirements. Meanwhile, Clients should also understand the relevant risks associated with services.
1. Providing an Authority to Hold Mail or Direct Mail to Third Party Risk
If the Client provides a Power of Attorney to QMIS IB allowing to "Hold Mail" or to "Direct Mail" by a third party, the Client shall collect all contract notes and statements of their Account(s) promptly and in person, and review them in detail to ensure that any anomalies or discrepancies can be detected in a timely manner and notify the QMIS IB as soon as possible to make enquiries and amendments (whenever necessary).
2. Currency Risk
The profit and loss in transactions in foreign currency-denominated contracts (whether Clients are traded in their own or another jurisdictions) should be affected by fluctuations in currency rates where there is a need to convert from the currency denominations of the contract to another currency.
3. Using the Electronic Online Services Risk
If Clients give instruction through an online services system, they shall bear the risks associated with the electronic system, including the possible failure of the electronic system hardware and software. System failures can cause Client’s requests to fail to execute as instructed, or even not at all. Clients should draw attention to the following:
(A) the internet is inherently an unreliable medium of data transmission and communication, and this may be the case with any other Electronic Media. Therefore, there is a risk when using Electronic Online Services for instructions or other communications through the internet or any other Electronic Media;
(B) connection to the QMIS IB website or Electronic Online Services may be limited, delayed or unavailable at any time and from time to time, due to peak periods demand, market fluctuations, system failures (including hardware or software failures), systems upgrades or/and maintenances or/and for any reason;
(C) instructions given or transactions conducted through the internet or other Electronic Media may be interfered with, interrupted or resulting in transmission blackout, transmission delays or incorrect data transmissions due to unforeseen volumes of communications (where applicable), the public nature of the media used, or other reasons;
(D) unauthorized third parties may have accessed to communications and personal data;
(E) instructions given through the internet or other Electronic Media may be executed without manual review; and
(F) any acknowledgement, confirmation or other transaction records posted on the QMIS IB website that reflects the status of Client’s instructions or the execution of such instructions, thereof the Client’s information relating to the Client’s Account, may not be able to update in a timely manner. Such acknowledgements, confirmations or other records aforementioned may not necessarily reflect requests conducted through the Non-QMIS IB website or their provided Electronic Online Services. If the Client has any question, please contact QMIS IB immediately to ascertain the status of Client requests or other information which related to the Client Account.
